PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
Yvonne is the founder of YCC Design Interiors. With a background in fashion and a love of all things design, Yvonne dove in 15 years ago designing both residential and commercial properties, while raising two active children. She studied Environmental Design at OCAD University and is known for creating spaces which are both livable and timeless through texture, pattern and colour; ultimately, creating spaces with a layered and transitional feel. Her liveable interiors are meticulously finished, considering the elements of beauty, practicality and comfort.
The role of YCC Design Interiors in your design project, will be to introduce you to design ideas and concepts which resonate with you. Design ideas and concepts are thoughtfully and carefully curated for each individual client, taking into consideration both style and lifestyle. We’re able to assist in all aspects of a project from start to finish, including consulting with architects and builders, creating cohesive plans for all interior finishes, and pulling all the details together at the end. We understand the importance of busy lives and how a carefully curated space can transform your life. The design process should be a fun collaboration between home owner and designer. PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
Sarah’s talent lies in her “concept-to-completion” approach, diverse design language and thoughtful renovations, which always capture the essence of the homeowner. She seamlessly combines classical elements with both clean and modern lines to make rooms feel timeless.
Immediately after graduating with a Bachelor of Interior Design from the University of Manitoba, Sarah joined Bartlett & Associates, a world-renowned design firm dedicated to commercial interiors, and worked with them for 10 years. Sarah then launched her own company Fullscale Design to allow the necessary flexibility as she raised her 3 energetic children. Her extensive knowledge in both residential and commercial design combined with her architectural ability makes her a perfect fit for YCC Design Interiors. She is endlessly professional, always designs with intention, and considers both style and functionality.

Yvonne recently oversaw the complete renovation of our farmhouse. She talked with us to see what kind of look we wanted and then presented us with different options. She is really good at listening to the client, and adapting choices. She was flexible but also capable of guiding us back to the look, when we went madly off in different directions. She is excellent with detail and designed our entire kitchen down to each drawer size, measuring our pots and pans. She also works well with trades people, keeping them focused and moving forward. She does this all with grace and humour and she never raises her voice. When we came up against problems (which is inevitable in a renovation), she would calmly offer solutions. She sourced materials and decor items for us, helping to narrow down the choices and her design eye was always on point with what we were looking for. I am in love with the light fixtures she recommended! Yvonne expertly managed the contractor and oversaw the actual demo and reconstruction of our bathroom, including the layout of floor and shower tiles. We hired Yvonne for the renovation of our house. Yvonne worked with us from beginning to end of our project on everything from preliminary elevation plans, complete floor, lighting and electrical plans, kitchen and bath designs, window treatments, all material choices and furniture selections. As two busy professions with two very active boys, we trusted Yvonne with every aspect of the renovation. She created beautiful, highly functional spaces which work perfectly for our family of four. We appreciated her attention to detail, presenting beautiful selections while remaining respectful of budget. She was a key part of the selection of contractor, managing trades and checked in daily to ensure things ran smoothly. Blitz Facial Bar hired Yvonne to work with me to establish the overall look of our Brand. Blitz Facial Bar was a new concept and Yvonne jumped right in to oversee the entire design, construction, furnishing and well everything involved with creating a clean, fresh and beautiful space. Yvonne created the look and brand for our first facial bar, and continued to oversee the creation of four additional stores in Toronto and one store in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Creating the template for the original concept, Yvonne ensured all the facial bars were spot on-brand. Yvonne also managed the entire construction process, including contractors, as well as coordinating all ordering and construction schedules, making sure everything was on site exactly when the contractor needed. Yvonne created the floor, lighting and electrical plans and sourced all the furniture and fixtures. Working with Yvonne was a great experience!
